Little Hermitage Wedding Venue
The Little Hermitage wedding venue, in Higham, is a Grade II listed Georgian manor house and makes for a very intimate, friendly and relaxed location. Jeana, the wedding coordinator, and her team are exceptionally welcoming. It's set in a secluded spot and features very lovely gardens with a Grecian-style marble gazebo for outdoor weddings. It offers a beautiful room for the bridal preparations with an amazing giant oval mirror and a beautiful balcony. The steps at the back of the house are perfect for group shots and will keep your wedding photographer happy!
Penny and Simon got married at The Little Hermitage in March 2011 and booked me for 5 hours coverage. I started with location and detail shots and then joined Simon (professional hairdresser) who was finishing off the bridesmaids' hair. I then joined Penny (professional make-up artist) who completed the bridesmaids' make-up! We then staged an impromptu, and absolutely hilarious, boudoir-type session and then I joined the guests downstairs for candids. After the ceremony in the Ivory Room (which has wonderful north-facing French windows which provide the most beautiful light - another bonus for your wedding photographer) I took some candids of the guests whilst drinks were served and then we popped to the back of the mansion for group shots on the stairs. I then whisked Penny and Simon around the grounds for their bride and groom portrait session. We then joined the guests for more candids and followed this with a receiving line and speeches. I departed as the wedding breakfast was served. Lisa and Daniel got married midweek in August 2011 and booked me for 3 hours coverage. They got married outside under the Greek temple-like gazebo and this was followed by candids, group shots and a bride and groom portrait session. Claire and Jamie also got married midweek, in October 2012, and booked me for 3 hours coverage. It was an absolutely beautiful autumn day. It was a very relaxed affair giving me the opportunity to take lots of candid shots.
