David Fenwick is a charming, polite and incredibly talented photographer who has given us pictures we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

My wife and I recently got married at Leeds Castle in Maidstone and at the start of our organising we decided it was very important for us to get a top quality photographer and where better to start than the 'Kent Photographer of the Year'. We had a look at some of his work and were blown away by his photos. After enquiring and learning of the very reasonable price he offered we though it'd be too good an opportunity to pass up. Another selling point was that he had shot at Leeds Castle before and had produced breathtaking pictures there.

We met David around 6 months before the wedding to discuss logistics and to view his work at his lovely home in Sandwich. He went through the whole day with us and wrote up a detailed email to us explaining everything that had been discussed. We were very pleased with his friendliness and professionalism and also thought his charming nature would help make the day more pleasant!

On the day he arrived whilst the bridal party were getting ready and came and found myself and my best man to say hello and assure me everything was OK and going to plan. He then took a few shots whilst myself and the grooms party were waiting around for guests to arrive and really captured the excitement and nerves of myself and the others. When people started arriving and we got the show on the road I can honestly say I don't remember him being there at all. An excellent trait in a wedding photographer! He blends into the day and then springs into action when he needs to.

When the ceremony had finished it was time for the group shots to take place and it was a very good idea of his for me to appoint two 'photographer's assistants' before the day to help usher the groups together. This was also where David's charisma came into play and we loved the fact he was laughing and joking with the guests and helping keep the mood buzzing. Everyone afterwards said how wonderful he was - like part of the family. David then whisked us away for some bride and groom shots with the castle in the background. We knew there and then that the shots he took would turn out wonderful.

The rest of the day went by much the same as the ceremony. We didn't notice David was there and that meant he got some wonderfully natural shots throughout the day rather than the usual photos where people pose. It was great afterwards to see things we'd missed.

Looking back on the day now we were also very pleased that David didn't keep asking us questions about what we wanted. He just got on with it and let us get on with our day and enjoy it as much as we could.

David put some 'sneak peek' images up the day after the wedding and a large selection of the photos were online within days which we thought was amazing! Then David sent through the rest of the photos (500+ in total) about a week later and the slideshow had a lovely backing track.

All in all we were extremely pleased with every single aspect of David's photography and we look forward to purchasing one of his specially bound books soon.

Thank you so much for everything David - we cannot recommend you highly enough!
